Low Down Bum

Recommended Posts

Living in a mostly rural area I like to have my seat in an elevated position so I get best visibility of the road ahead.

Have noticed that the seat gradually returns to a low position over time. Anyone else noticed this? Should I expect the seat to remain permanently in the set position unless adjusted?

I am the sole driver of the vehicle.

Manual Clare. It's a pumpy lever thingy.

I will have to investigate the mechanism I think as I've no real idea of how it works...........

That was just my train of thought, could be a rachet or lever that has come lose.

I would guess there is a clutch in it Dave. Might take a bit of digging to find it though.

Will investigate when it gets a bit drier out - probably around October........................

I get just the same problem in the GV, about once a month I crank it back up. It isn't much so I don't explore further. It reminds me to check the screenwasher bottle at the same time (only cos I always used to forget that so now I have a regime.....)

You need my new AHF (Anti-Higgs Field) Diet. This one really works! The mass (and hence the weight), just fly off.

(I expect, as BK says "Giraffe's Bum" for most ).
