I dont know too much either mate but have a look at the top of the topics page in the pinned section and there is a post with lots of links to tuners so you can have a look.

As far as i can make out most companies who make aftermarket parts for the Yaris are making good stuff??? i may be wrong.

Jaxx has got 17's on his yaris and its lowered 60mm, and 18's have been done too.

I would stick with 7x17" with 205/40 tires. Go for an offset of 40-45mm and you should have no fender rubbing. I went with 35mm offset and get a slight rub in the back. In hindsight, I should of gone for 45mm (they were available!) but in the UK, everyone was going for 35mm, so I just followed the crowd.
