Hi all i am new to this site and if my posts are in the wrong spots i am sorry for that but have to start somewhere

I have a question for anyone out there to answer, I am considering using the previa for my handyman business and will require to remove the seats to install racking for my tools and such will doing this affect the MOT and insurance also if anyone out there has done anything like this can you please comment as to the processes you went through and if you can supply photos of your set up as i wish to see if it is difficult to achive this. Can a cargo barrier be fitted behind the front seats for added security against theft of my tools if so where can i purchase one of them please.

Hello Vince and welcome to the club.

I am sure what ever you do to your car which is not only a modification but a change of use to a trade a vehicle. your insurence co needs to be informed.

They would need to now that any mods are carried out to a certain standard for safety reasons. i suggest you get professional advice of how to go about fitting any racking etc..

Thanks Peter for your reply i am still wondering if any members have used a previa or simular as a tradesman vehicle and if so can you post some pictures so i can get a better idea what it looks like also has any member had there previa wrapped if so can i see some pictures of how yours turned out as i an thinking of getting mine done also.

Hi again Vince,you could try posting your question on the Toyota Family forum.

As your Previa is not what can be described as a common model,i dont know how many owners will have carried out any similar mods to one as your considering.
