pls anybody....

got given an '87 Celica 2.0 GT

after disconecting the Battery and fixing the alarm

it now fails to start although previous to this it was starting perfectly

is there some kind of immobiliser or something thats stopping it?

if so how do i sort it

any help will be appriciated

Does the engine turn over but not start?? Or does nothing happen at all when you turn the key? Any idea what make the alarm is? Any halfway decent alarm will have some form of immobiliser, you may need to identify which circuit or circuits it operates on. If the motor wont even crank then its the starter thats immobilised.

it turns over perfectly just fails to fire

its a toyota security system of some sort

believe it was factory fitted

its as if its killed the fuel or something
