Brembo And Other Aftermarket Discs And Pads?

Hi,

My front discs and pads are up for renewal, I looking to replace with aftermarket parts.

The following are in my budget, can you please make recommendations for mixed driving, city centre and motorways, ocassional b roads.

Front Brembo Brake Pads - TOYOTA AYGO (B10) 1.0 07/05 to / £32.93

Front Brembo Brake Discs - TOYOTA Aygo 1.0 12V VVT-i 05 on £45.73

Toyota Aygo 1.0 EBC Ultimax Front Brake Pads £24.59

TOYOTA Aygo 1.0 2005- FRONT EBC BRAKE DISCS £49.99

TOYOTA AYGO FRONT BRAKE PADS MINTEX 2005-> £20.00

EBC GREENSTUFF TOYOTA Aygo 1.0 2005- FRONT BRAKE PADS £43.26

I'm a little concerned that Brembo discs are almost half the price of MR T's OEM's.

Does anyone know who makes the OEMs?

Will the Brembos last as long as the OEMs? (Nearly 50k on this set).

I've noticed some Eicher products on eBay for next to nothing (Indian Company).

I've had EBC brakes with the black ultimax pads

on several cars. My Aygo currently has them & when my wife's

needs a set of brakes, I'll be buying the EBC ones again.

From memory, they were about £75.00 from EBC Brakes Direct Ltd.

Seem to work well and don't wear at anything like the rate of the originals.

Cheers Ian, I think I'll go with Brembos for a few quid more, as no seems to have had negative experiences with them.
