Hey, I went and bought Castrol GTX today. It wsa 4 Litre 5w30 what you ma call it. Can I use this in my Aygo. I heard from someone else I have to use fully synthetic oil but the oil I bought says nothing of it being of the synthetic type. Can I still use this oil?

What year is your Aygo and do you have the owners manual as the oil grades are listed in there with a prefered grade mentioned.

My 2012 Aygo uses 0W20 energy saving oil which is expensive whereas my daughters 2008 aygo uses 5W30 oil.

Both these oil grades are fully synthetic and it is vital to use the correct grade to provide long service life of the engine.

In a nutshell i think 2011 onward models use 0W20.

Hope i have been of some help.

Most of the oil companies have a website were you can add you vehicle details, and they will tell you the oil to use, Castrol & Mobil are worth a look, as well as Halfords, they are selling Mobil 3000 05w/30 fully syn for 23.95 5lt, thats what i've just purchased for my Aygo.

Another option ..... several Toyota dealers on eBay selling genuine toyota oil and at a good price.

Just a few of the eBay dealers....
