Corolla Tsport Lift Problem Any Help?

I'm in need of help I bought a corolla tsport about a month ago and it started to rattle and I thought it was the tappets. I took the rocker cover off to see if I could find out the problem and noticed that the high lift lobe's on the inlet side of the camshaft were worn quite badly and I thought it may of been the problem for the rattling I so I bought a new cam shaft and a new vvt pully and the rattle has now gone but it now doesent like going into lift and I Dnt no why? I even put all the old camshaft back on it agian to see if it would work then but still doesent :( please help any sugestions would be great
