Toyota Avensis Verso 2002 - Abs Brake Light On

Ladies and gents,

Not posted on here for a while but been ill and not driving!

My wife's Toyota Avensis Verson (2002 - 2l vvti, auto) had its brake pads changed on the front end of last week.

The Abs now seems to be non functioning and the ABS and brake icon come on after going over 50mph. The ABS

does not work but when braking there is sometimes a loud whirring noise and an associated feel coming through

the brake pedal.

I have an OBD tool that I used to sort out the oxygen sensors but that reports no actual ECU faults when the ABS

comes on. I am loathed to go to Mr T just to get diagnostics done and find no ECU errors being reported.

Does any one have any idea where I should start looking? ABS sensors? (any idea how I can find out which one

is faulty), maybe wrong brake pads? Should I try replacing disks as well although they are fine.

Any help would be great.

Also there was a link posted on this site that gave a very good part finder tool online that allowed you to narrow down

and gte the correct Toyota part number so you could get the right non OEM part....I seem to have lost the link. Can

someone report for me. Thanks

I will search the site for both items but as I say any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ken

Found the parts website but can't seem to find anything about ABS bits and pieces. Thanks Igor if you're still around.

For others......http://www.toyodiy.com/

You need VIN number.
