Tow Bar Connections Question

The local Toyota dealer has quoted £600 for fitting a towbar and single electrics. The independant tow bar people want around £300. Problem is my Rav is still in warranty. Is it safe to give the job to a specialist tow bar fitter. Some cars are already fitted with a socket to connet the electrics, is it so with a RAV?

I fitted my own towbar from towsure with a 13 pin socket, took two hours to do due to having to remove the rear bumper. All came with instructions and was pretty much plug n play.

If you arent comfortable with tools and following instructions get the specialist to do it an save yourself £300.

Oh by the way get a 13 pin socket fitted not two 7's as it's much neater an then buy an adapter if you need to tow a 7pin trailer/caravan. They come in single 13 to 7 pin snap in type or 13 pin to two 7 pins for caravans that need perm live feed for the fridge.
