If you are thinking of extending your warranty because you are concerned about your Battery, that is a bad idea. I have a 2007 Highlander with what I suspect is a fading Battery. The problem is that it is a closed system, so I will never know if that is the case or not. My mileage has taken a 20% hit and continues to diminish. Now that my mileage is now worse than that of a non-hybrid Highlander I am confident the Battery is the culprit, though I am open to other suggestions.

...but mostly my word of caution here is that with the hybrid batteries in particular, until the car actually stops driving, you have no way to even get a diagnosis on the batteries.

...or if someone else knows of one, please post, so I can learn.
