New Owner Info Please,,

Hi chaps,

new to the forum having just purchased a 1.8 vvti t2 avensis a 54 plate low miler , decent price fsh.

would like to kill two birds with one stone,

• firstly to say hello and like the forum
  
• secondly the last owner misplaced the handbook
  

so my question is as i have no real idea how to work the gismos and gadgets apart from the obvious ,

can the dash illumination be dimmed as is very bright,

what oil and capacity does the engine use as planning to do an oil service just for good measure

what realistic mpg are folks achieving

i am planning to purchase a handbook from fleebay soon but would welcome any feedback i can get,

the dash is bright but you can adjust it in steps when the lights are on(right hand push button in the dash itself)but not with the lights off
