2006 Avensis Bluetooth

Hi, just found out my 2006 T180 already has a Toyota (Motorola) PZ409 kit fitted which when I press the mode button on the steering wheel somebody starts gobbling off at me in French! So how do I pair my phone to the car and more importantly how do I get rid of the French bird

Changing bluetooth language

1. Turn OFF ignition & wait at least 20 seconds

2. Press & hold MODE & ARROW DOWN buttons on steering wheel, turn ignition ON whilst holding down MODE & ARROWN DOWN for at least 15 seconds

3. The bluetooth system will enter language selection mode & respond in current set language using VOLUME UP or DOWN button cylce through language options until BRITISH ENGLISH is heard.

4. To save your selection switch OFF ignition & wait at least 10 seconds before restarting vehicle

Note all stored contacts & paired devices will be removed after new language selection.

To pair your phone:

1. Turn ON ignition & wait at least 10 seconds

2. Press & hold MODE button until voice promt is heard

3. Follow voice promts to pair phones & add contacts

Say HELP for a full list of voice commands if required

Now just cant get the kit too pair with my iPhone 4s as it just keeps saying pairing failed?

Not sure why you cant pair, the Toyota compatibility list http://www.toyota-europe.com/own/bluetooth/bluetooth_connect.tmex says your iPhone 4s is compatible

I've tried about 30 times, it just says pairing failed all the time. Have tried resetting, deleting all paired phones etc. works ok with my daughters phone so am baffled with what to do now?

I've tried using the same procedure to connect bluetooth to my blackberry 9300 on an Avensis T3x VVTi and it just wont work| Pressing the MODE just switches off the radio altogether. Any help?

im still not able to connect my iPhone 4s so just going to rip the toyota kit out and replace with something that works, probably thb9060
