hi,

i'm putting my induciton kit on this week but the standard cold air feed on the rolla is crap. i have the 98 model 4a-fe corolla. i was wondering if i go to a dump and butcher a hoover pipe will that be any good for a cold air feed if i run it to the front bumper?

You can buy proper cold air feed material from a motor factors. Come's in all different sizes, if the Rolla's anything like the Paseo you won't have enough space for a hoover pipe!

well my engine bay is very tight. the only option is to run a pipe from the filter and then down under engine tray up to the front. do you think that'll work or will i catch n spped bumps. the car isnt lowered

You could try what I've done which is to run it behind the headlight - mine comes out behind the lower grill.

I've modded the standard feed as well so I have two small feeds rather than one huge one. Can take a quick pic if you like.

Right here's the bay- you can see the dual feed & how I've adapted/bodged the standard one :D Seems to work anyway!

ok, that sorta helps. my filter has a steel pipe for the air flow sensor and so it actually sits behind the Battery. my standard feed runs to the right of the Battery and ends behind the headlight. to i think i need to llok for gaps down the side of the headlights or sit a big piece of tubing just behind the cooling fan/radiator as hopefully i'll get a cold air charge from that

the only other option is getting a vent put on the bonnet. would that work? or would it be costly and a waste of money?

Not worth having a vent done for it really, have a bash at getting a feed down where you said. Hope it goes ok!
