Lack Of Power In My Hilux ? Help

Hi all , Im new here and hopeing someone can help me, ive had my hilux for almost a year now, its a 53 . with nearly 90 0n the clock, hasnt done much hard work very clean engine, but looses power as soon as it hits a hill and im desperate to finid out why so if anyone could help id be very greatful !!

Hi Stephanie, its a 2.5d yeah ?

When was the fuel filter last changed and serviced ?

You could ask the same question on the Hilux forum.

thanks to all your responses , umm yes its a 2.5 and have changed filters , used some fuel cleaner whiched helped a little, as for what fuel i use's , well ummm not to sound like a girl but ?? obviously diesiel but im guessing thats not what you mean ?! haha

Hi Steph, sorry I didn't make myself to clear.. what brand of diesel do you use.. also is it just the normal grade or the higher quality one ?

normal grade umm and get it straight from ticknells they deliver it to farm fuel tank and yes white not red !! haha

When your tank gets low It maybe worth sticking in £5 - £10 worth of higher grade diesel, and see if that makes any difference.
