Timing Belt

i have an x plate yaris 1.0 with 70k on the clock.is changing the timing belt difficult.

ive never changed vvti belts before but have changed fiesta,peugeot,punto belts before. could anyone give me a rough guide to how long it would take and also how much a garage would take to change it

The VVTI-engines, including the 1,0 l-engine of the Yaris have no timingbelts ! They uses chains for timing.

think theres a tensioner that has to be checked tho

That’s right! No belt... it has a chain, maintenance free. No belt snapping money sapping work to be done.
