you just pay the upgrade fee about 50 quid, plus price of the phone

a little confused here...im with Vodaphone on one tarif and O2 with my other phone. and i get a FREE upgrade every year. i just go into the shop to renew my contract and adk them to upgrade my phone at the same time. admittedly you only have a choice of a few phones but they will be better than the previous one. ive been doing this for the last four years and never paid a penny to upgrade.

most small print on your contract will state that you are entitled to a free upgrade depending on the amount of money you have spent over the year. the more you spend the better the handset you get.

yeah, theres that, but you can only choose a few phones to upgrade for free

I think he is talking about Matrix Reloaded, it was a Samsung with the rotary camera.

The green one is a very old mono phone.. my granny has it! (no honest)

Personally I won't touch Nokia. A few years ago they were cutting edge in design and function, but recently I'm beginning to feel they have lost their way a little. After my horrendous experience with a 7650 I won't go back. All I ask for is bluetooth (BT) that works with everything and Nokia can't deliver, this is why I have a T68i as it actually works and talks to everything (BT headset, BT PDA, BT dongle on PC) and it does it well.

With my T68 I can look up a number in the address book on my Palm Tungsten T, Dial the number from the PDA and make my call through the wireless handsfree, all this without taking the phone out of my pocket. I couldn't even connect to my PDA with the 7650!

Oh yeah, and I'm still waiting for the Samsung watch phone:

I had a T68i, but found they are very fragile, I now have a Nokia 5100 (the G Shock of the phone world) its really quite good, shock proof water proof etc and still with the high res screen!

You can read about it HERE.

As well as voice dialing, of course, I could dial using my "Tungsten T" over bluetooth as I previously mentioned I already do with my T68i.

Anyway, I don't have any friends  so I don't need to dial any numbers (I am only joking you know, or am I?...)

Well best bit of advice i can give u all it to get either a blue-tooth dongle for ur pc if ur fone supports it, or an irda one. Then get oxygen phone manager (for nokias, other phones i'm unsure about) u can do everything w. that. backup the entire fone, xfer images, tones, games etc. all of which can be d/l'd for free from the rite places mite i add ;)

and jim if u get that n-gage lemme know i've got the games and the bootloader software lying around somewhere.

I had one when they 1st came out. It was only after I bought my 7650 that I found out the 7650 has data only bluetooth.

Are you sure it connects with everything? I'm thought that even now, the 7650 isn't capable of using a bluetooth handsfree kit (which is the best use for BT IMO) due to the hardware not being capable. When I got mine Nokia hadn't even design a car kit for the phone which was also a major gripe.

I did kill mine (I entered a code to hard reset the device, but there was a bug with some early phones that meant this actually killed the phone outright) I also cracked the actual casing when I dropped it once (got that fixed for free on the insurance). Other than that it was a very nice phone and if Nokia did fix all the bugs and perhaps make it a little smaller I may be tempted to go back. The sliding mechanism was a great design.

A workmate has a P800 and he can use it as a remote control for his Apple Pwerbook using blueooth. Great for selecting MP3's when you're about the house.
