what makes you say this?

Luk has (or had) the patent on the DMF. As they were the first to market them. Maybe that patent has now ran out and there are pattern ones about.

Btw is 75w90 the right gear oil for a 2004 d4d tspirit?

I rung two toyota dealers to ask them and thats the grade they both recommended but its still a crunchy gear change especially in first and second.
