hi folks.

i have a strange problem! i have a yaris 1.0 gs .it has 70k on the clock.

it drove fine till saturday 5pm.then i rested her till monday7pm,went out tried to

start it andit turned over really strange and would not start.i thought it was the

timing belt.anyway i took therocker cover off it,,noticed there was a chain, and it was all moving well.put it back together.made sure all conections were tight turned it over for a long time and it still sounded strange but fired up eventually . but now the

engine management light wont go out. still has plenty of power and drives ok.you will be thinking ok the strange sound is a worn starter, but it was turning the engine and would not start(has never been a problem)and why will the light not go out?

ps thanks to the people who put me right about the yaris not having a timing belt
