I have a 94 kzn130. I have no heat coming from my dash. can anyone help?

homework and observations

1. the temp gauge is working as per normal. indicating working thermo.

2. the core supply and return hoses are both hot to the touch. indicating core not blocked.

3. the tap is not blcoked. not the tap!

4. the controls from the cabin to the tap work. not the cable!

5. the fan operates. not the fan!

6. the fan from the centre console to the rear seats supplies warm air yet the main dash does not. Not the core!

7. I have flushed the core back and forth with water and compressed air and there are no obstructions. Not the core!

8. when I move the cabin controls from circulate to external supply the gates moves.

So after all of this, why do I have no heat?????????

I can't speak for the second gen surf... but similar vintage supras had problems with dry solder joints in the heater control panel... that might be worth making your next point of investigation!

The rear heater has a second heater matrix, so is pretty much totally unrelated (or at least it does on the 3rd Gen!)
