I have to same problem on my '99 Avey. But only in cold weather, it only happened over the winter.

In warmer weather, it is slow to come up from completely open to about third way up and then goes up no problem.

Any help with this be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem - Took it to my local toyota dealer and they are replacing the motor and door seal under warranty

Before assuming that the motor is knackered I would advise spraying the runners that the window 'slides on' with silicone spray. You can get this stuff in most electrical/diy shops but failing that Maplins will also stock it (Maplin website). Certainly worth trying that first.

I don't think it's the motor myself but as it's warranty they can do it anyway
