Hi,

My 05 registered Corolla Verso had some problem with the screen washer. When I pull the level, the front wind screen washer fluid doesn't squirt out. I thought the washer fluid was run out. Actually it is quite full. The back screen one works fine. Anyone now what the problem is? Does the fuse could cause the problem? If so, why only the front one doesn't work?

Best regards

Hi,

First try and establish if the pump motor is running.

When you operate the switch can you hear the pump motor running ?

If you can then it might be a blockage in the pumps inlet/ tank/pipeline/nozzles - check where the pipe goes from the engine bay to the bonnet

If not then is more likely to be an electrical problem or a totally jammed pump, the front and rear pumps seem to run off the same 15A fuse

Hi,

Just search this forum for washer problems - sure I have seen mention of replacing the motor before.

Think its a bit akwards to get at under the front wing/bumper.

Would confirm that the motor is gone rather than just blocked before you do anything, unless you saw them test the motor ?

There are two separate pumps on the water bottle 1 for the front and 1 for the rear.

If you switch the wires from 1 to the other

You can do this under the front wing.

If then your front works and rear doesn't it means your pump is gone. You could leave it like that if it works.

If not you have a blockage.

140 seems very dear, secondhand about 20.

Hi,

I managed to replace the pump by half unscrewed the front bumper. Then you able to get enough space to reach the pump. The problem is the pump is short circuited and gone. One tip, when you replace the pump with the empty washer tank, you need to push several time of the level to let the air gone. Then the washer will come out.
