Exploding Window

Rear hatch exploded today, just parked up and bang the glass shattered. Anyone else had the Sam thing ? Hatch strut appears to have seized up now, could that be the cause?

Auto glass to replace tomorrow be they don't replace all the badges!

I've heard of this happening on Smart car sun roofs but its the first time I've heard it on an Aygo!

Are you sure something hadn't hit it? A few years ago travelling into Birmingham in heavy stop/start traffic, a stone flung up by a council contractor's lawnmower hit the passenger side window. No immediate effect apart from the noise of the impact. About 4 minutes later, and about 200 yards away, the window imploded into car all over my girlfriend.
