Overheating

hiya everyone

any chance someone out there could tell me where the thermostat is located on my 1990 gtr the engine is overheating but i have no leaks etc thoughtthe thermo might be stuck shut but the manual i have is american and crap lol

From memory if you follow the top radiator hose back to the block you should be able to see the thermo housing (dome sorta thing with a pipe out one side and poss a sensor in it)

i don't think it's a water leak, it could be your cars head thats naffed,

how it works....... car over heats......the water steams out of the over flow pipe and evapurates very easly so you don't notice any water loss unless you ckeck straight away unless your car is over heating rapidly, i could be wrong but i'm fairly sure thats the problem, if it is, sell and con some unlucky woman.......

hi people

thanks for the help it turned out to be the thermostat that was stuck i think i had a little leak in the heater matrix also which has just cost me 270 to fix cuz it leaked onto my alarm cpu and shorted the lot !!!! but hey lol
