recall to addres a potential issue with the rear suspenion arm on certain toyota models has any one had thisrepair done

VOSA has only just released the impending recall notice to customers, so no work has yet been carried out. My letter says to wait for further communication from Toyota which will then organise the inspection. They are checking the tightness of the rear suspension arm securing nuts - but apparantly it's only likely to be an issue if you've had the rear alignment adjusted at some point. Perhaps the wrong torque settings have been used ?

You can check on the Toyota website whether your car is affected by any outstanding safety recalls - go to www.toyota.co.uk, select 'owners' from the toolbar at the top, and then 'owners' again from the drop down menu, and then select 'Recall Information and Updates' from the right hand column. This will take you to a page where, if you input your reg number, you can identify whether your car ifs affected. You can also print off confirmation.
