hi all i have a 87 2000gt with a gs3e the car as been running brill until a few days a go, i can't get the revs down it is reving at about 25000 revs any ideas on this matter.

its not auto jimma its a manual box.

u mean the air intake temp sensor actually has a use? I've left it off before and only noticed the next time i've popped the bonnet to check the oil etc... Wouldn't have thought it'd have that much effect.

I thought that Pete3S-FE but it looks like it as its uses . i said it is runnig a treat but after a good run noticed it is not 100% (lack of power on top end )looks more like the ecu not working very well i got a spear one to try i will just see if its that it.

Jus an idea but when was the timing belt last done? someones pointed out to me that they can be lax when the belt gets to a certain age, I know it isn't an easy job to do (mine was done three weeks ago :S) but it can affect the way it runs.

Mines an 88 and i'm sure there's numerous things wrong with it, apart from replace everything i'm a little stuffed. Sometimes it'll feel really strong and sometimes it'll be hesitent etc... b00dy thing.

Oh well good luck with ure troubles.

hi Pete3S-FE my timing belt was only done about 3 months ago but will have a look to see if its slack, also going to check spark plugs and air filter because can't remenber last time they was done .
