Hi

I recently upgraded my rear lights to the newer ones with four circles.

But my MOT exmainer tells me that the rear fog light is missing!

Which one of the circles does the fog light go into?

Should circle 1 and 4 be for tail/brake lights...circle 2 for nothing and circle 3 be the fog light?

Please Help!

Cheerz

Where did u buy the new lenses, it sounds to me like they are JDM and since fog lights are not a legal requirement in Japan you will probably have to fit your own fog light to the bumper.

the UK setup is different than the Jap ..

The UK the inner two are FOGS ONLY .. and have little plastic inserts on the outsides of the circles, to stop the light shining through (as, by law the fog light has to be 10cm away from the brake light).

Jap just has 4 brake lights ..

My Rev3 tubby has the 'third circle' as the fog. It can be done using the insert Bibbs is talking about.

I didn't do it myself, but wanted it that way as INMHO it looks better than a fog on the bumper.

It's just a high intensity red light (same brightness as a brake light) that you have the put on when it's foggy ..

in the UK on MR2's .. both the inner ones do ..

Where on most other cars you have 2 reversing lights, in the UK one is usually red ..

It's one of the main things that happens when a Jap car comes over for "UK conversion" .. also when on, there has to be a light to tell the driver .. UK cars have another light on the dash .. cause mine is an import - I've a button that lights up.

AHHHHH.....when I brought my FIRST set of Gen III tail lights the centre panel where the MR2 Badge is there was ONE red and ONE white and the red one had a red bulb in it and the white one had a BLUE bulb in it...I sold them but kept the bulbs, there sitting in the garage :)
