And I know you have to install the parts.... but as i have said before, my car is only good for 1/4, and im getting my butt kicked around circuits

I've worked out the betting - if the car you bet on wins you you get a share of the total amount bet against you i.e. on the other car - but if there are no bets on the other car you get a refund. I bet £10 and got £160 back - it's just luck on how many bet on the other one.
