Celica 2.0gt

Hi,

I own a 97 Celica 2.0GT (ST202).

I am looking to upgrade it, not too fussed about exterior or even interior styling, i would however like some more speed and performance. It is pretty much standard at the moment, got a k&n induction kit in but that doesn't do much.

I know HKS do alot of mods and performance upgrades for this car and wondered what things you could get. Could anyone list possible mods such as chipping, clutches (as currents one slips in 3rd, 4th & 5th), exhausts etc. Basically anything to make it go faster!

Help would be much appreciated.

The basics are Induction kit, exhaust and decat.

You could go the extra to have an uprated ECU or superchip but unfortunately the lack of a turbo means you are limited to around 200bhp.

Lots of people change their engines for 3SGTE's from the GT4 but the cost envolved and the car you end up with it would be better to sell up and go GT4 just like i did.

Well worth it

blue print clucth will be about £105 and then get it fitted.

Had the same issue on mine.

I've got a Blitz Realise TT exhaust and Blitz SUS filter. WIll do something about the CAT soon, if not a de-cat I'll go for a performance cat.
