Hi all, just signed up today to the club.I live in the UK,and have an old mk1 Rav4,but has only done 98,000 miles,it has some issues but keeps going.Would like to pick some brains on here as this is my first Toyota.I have had it since March of this year.I am retired and my annual mileage is pretty low, about 1000/1500 per year. Hope to get to know people on here as time goes on.I will post my query when i can find out where to post it.

Hi and welcome to the club. You will get plenty of sound advice for your car on the RAV4 forum on here. just click forums at top of this page and scroll down.

Know what you mean about low miliage after retiring.

MInes not as low as yours, about 4/5000 a year.

But the upside means lower insurence costs.

Hi Ken and ditto to the above.

There is a member called Bothwell Buyer aka Bothy who loves the early RAVs and has 2.

One is set up for super fast standing 1/4 mile.

You will find there is a lot of info "pinned" on the Mk1 in that section

Come on over

Thanks for the welcome Peter, yes retirement has curtailed my mileage, and it is very welcome, for most of my working life i have been a very high mileage driver,as a chauffeur i have driven the length and breadth of the UK,now i am liking the short trips and not the daily grind of yet more traffic jams, speed cameras, and people that want to involve me in their attepted suicides.LOL
