53 2 Litre Diesel Starting Issue

Hello, i'm new to the forum and have spent ages trawling the net regarding the following problem.

After noting that the engine warning management icon had appeared on the dashboard. I took my Avensis in for diagnosis and correction.

The garage had diagnosed the fault as being the 'glow plugs' (of which only one was working). And so these were subsequently replaced.

Prior to this the engine had been hard to start from cold. The car is still hard to start taking several turns on the ignition key to get the car started (eventually).Once the car has been started the car starts first time incidentally.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction to fault find ???

Have you changed the fuel filter? Thats a good place to start! Also clean the MAF with some electrical contact spray. What condition is the air filter in? Put a can of BG244 in the fuel tank...
