Here she is bumping down the wee track to the storage site:

The trailer was some weight. as i pulled off from the side of street i struggled to get enough speed to get the clutch up. once going straight she was grand. the engine was fairly working hard tho. happy sitting at 50mph in 5th. couldn't touch 6th and had to drop down for anything more than a gentle gradient.

Anchs made comment once before that the system will not allow it to stall when slowly reversing with a trailer. Well, it stalled!

Thats blown that theory. Let me change it to "shouldn't stall"!

Maybe it was the 3 ton very impressive trailer.

I was reversing her into position and in fairness she did an excellent job but there was an uphill and it stalled - just needed a bit more juice. It has to be said the Rav did superbly well. The engine was working like a horse but it didn't miss a beat.

It is an impressive trailer and was loaded to the gunnels with the entire contents of oor hoose. My biggest concern now is the entrance to the wee track is a sharp turn off the road down a very steep gradient. Doing that in the opposite direction is a concern - especially if i have to stop due to on coming cars. I'm not sure i'd get started again - or at least without ripped the derrière off my clutch! I have a friend with a HiLux so i might get him to get it onto the road for me and i'l take it from there...

I think it UAC i will need. She had nae bother going down the slope!

I used the Hill Start Assist a few times which was brilliant. works a treat with a trailer on the back.
