2002 Celica Vvti Fuel Tank Exhaust Heat Shield Insecure

I took my celica for its MOT and it came back with a few advisery points.

1: fuel tank exhaust heat shield is insecure.

Now, they want £87.84 to fix this, does that mean it needs replacing or just secured better? Is that too much and is it easy enough to do yourself?

I doubt if a member of the forum would know what the repair entails. Only the garage concerned could explain what is entailed in the £87-84 quote. Did you ask for a written quote??

Now if we knew exactly what was amiss then someone could hazard a guess
