Water Spills Into Boot When Tailgate Opened

I've had a 62 plate RAV 4 for a week; the vehicle is parked on a sloping drive and when I opened the tailgate today ( after rain) the accumulated rain droplets on the top of the tailgate and rear spoiler cascaded along the top of the tailgate/rear door and into the boot!

Anyone else found this?

Seems a pretty basic design flaw to me!!!!

Yep!

you will also find that when parked level, drops of water will fall onto the seats when you open any door - the disadvantage of no drains/gutter.

Forgot to mention if it snows, clear the snow from the doors/tailgate opening, before you open the door, otherwise you will have a lump of snow sitting on your seat/boot and also make sure you carefully wipe some silicone lubricant (not adhesive ) on your opening window rubbers (whilst you are at it you may as well do the door rubbers) before it freezes and frequently throughout the time it may freeze or you will have to wait for it to unfreeze before you can open your windows!
