Ive gotten over the initial "what have i bought?" crisis.

Gen4 3s-GE convertible.

I didnt realise so many engine variations where in use.

the hood was replaced in 1998 and the rear windows have been removed, the hood comes right up to the front windows and has plastic side rear windows.

Ive got it booked in next week for a rolling road tune. at the mo' its idling at 1500rpm!!

Just got my chilton and haynes from Amazon and am currently making a list for maintenance readying the car for a topless summer.

there doesnt seem to be many gen4 owners out there, let alone convertibles. the general mechanics etc are the same right up until 1996, only the exterior and interior styling is different, of course.

once ive checked major components, fuel sytems etc for condition, i will be upgrading the engine and fitting the normal induction and exhaust etc.

does anyone know what upgrades i can bolt onto this engine?????????ecu short cuts etc without blowing the thing up.
