Door Lock Problem 06 Plate Yaris

Can anyone offer some help please

We have a 06 plate Yaris 1.3 T Spirit with the keyless remote locking system.

The door handle button to lock the car works perfectly every time both for single and double lock but.......when we come to unlock the car by putting your hand behind the handle it unlocks eventually but the door locking motor sounds as if its struggling and can take anything up to 5 seconds to unlock the car. It matters not whether you unlock via the offside or nearside doors

If you sit in the car and use the interior central locking button that works perfectly every time. You can also unlock the car using the "emergency key" in the remote fob

We have tried using the spare key fob and replaced the batteries in both fobs. The engine starts normally

Any ideas please
