Dont do it...

Either you'll spend hours upon hours trying to get it perfect, have sheer frustration at your own imperfection, and even if they look perfect to everyone else, you will see the tiny mistakes, and never be able to let them go

or...

You will do a rush job, and end up with it looking cack...

Just pay a professional to do them for you

I have done them in the past, its very easy if you have the glass out on a well lit workbench in a dust free enviorment becase you can work around it... on the otherhand, glass in situ is a pain in the ar*e. Please get it done properly or it will look like figits said!

Myself and the missus have done a on 3 of our cars...well more her than me ;) I just keep nagging her and pointing out the imperfections so she can fix them.

Anyway it depends on how curved the window is....the flatter the better...for example we wouldn't even attemp the SW20 rear window but the small side triangle ones...or a side door with resonably flat glass is ok. Just gotta have a good SHARP blade, a Squege (spelling??) and a spray bottle with water and dish washing liquid mixed into it.

Cheers

Lay the film on the outside of the windows that you want to cover and cut it to the approximate shape and size (later, you will cut it more exactly). Be sure lay the film in the correct orientation: adhesive side, still covered by the protective film layer, to the outside

Depending on the film, you may heat the film a little with a normal hairdryer and adjust it to vaults / curves of the window.

Clean the windows from the inside and outside.

Adjust a small strip of adhesive tape to either side of the film in one corner. Slowly pull apart the two adhesive strips. The clear protective film layer will lift from the window tint film. You may want to check this out first with a little test piece.

While pulling the protective film from the tint film, immediately spray the self-adhesive film with the liquid.

Spray the windows.

Adjust the pre-cut and sprayed-in film to the wet window. Spray the outside of the film so that the scraper won't scratch the surface of the film. Remove the water below the film as well as little bubbles that may have occured by wiping the suface of the film with the little plastic scraper.

At the end, cut the film along the edges of the window. You may want to use the scraper as a ruler in order to cut 1-2 mm from the side.

All done !!!!

oh and 1-2 drops of fairy liquid
