Gen Iii And Ipod Question

Hi All,

From time to time I use an iPod Touch in the car linked by bluetooth and have found something odd the last couple of times I've tried. About 2 weeks ago with the iPod running iOS5 I found that when I connected the only control available from the car was to move forward or backward through tracks but the album could only be changed on the iPod. I've since upgraded to iOS6 and found it works the same. I thought that in the past I could select the album from the car so the question is has some functionality disappeared or is my memory playing tricks?

It is the same in Yaris Hybrid only forward and backward works, but when connected via usb you have full control and also album art is shown.
