Airlines Paint Moustaches On Planes To Support Movember

Several of the world's leading airlines have joined forces with men who are taking part in the Movember trend to lend their support to the fight against prostate and testicular cancer.

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are growing facial hair to show their backing - and now dozens of planes are sporting a new look too.

Bosses at British Airways, Qantas, Virgin and WestJet have decided to add quirky styles to the noses of their jets to make it seem as though they have moustaches.

All of the planes have been given different styles, with some featuring a full-grown beard and others donning a bushy handlebar moustache.

Liz Wilkinson, head of health services at British Airways, said: 'We're always delighted to support Movember. It's a charity that's very dear to our hearts here at British Airways, especially as our former chief executive officer Lord Marshall suffered from the disease.'

British Airways has decked one of its planes out with a neat connoisseur moustache, having considered options such as the pencil, handlebar, trucker and horseshoe styles.

Last year, the airline raised approximately £80,000 for the Prostate Cancer charity by encouraging its male staff to grow moustaches in November.
