Hi,

Anyone out there with a Yaris (or any Toyota) using MMT (Multimode Manual Transmission - traditional gearbox with electronic controlled clutch)? I would like to hear from anyone experiencing issues and also possible clutch issues on MMT models.

I am experiencing issues.

Thanks

There have been a few updates to the MMT electronics over the years, your post is a little short on info, why not post up your issue and see if anybody can help?

OK got it working. Must have been me.

Anyway, the issue I have is that every now and again the MMT doesn't react as well as it should and it goes back into to garage to have the MMT recalibrated/reinitialised and things seem fine for a while. Just recently it's got worse and the gears don't seem to shift at right time or take a while to engage into gear. The MMT was looked at recently and it's still not any better. Garage has suggested that as the car has done 50K miles it might need clutch replacing. I am not a happy bunny at the prospect of paying nearly £900 to have this done. The car has been driven in 'auto' mode 99.999% of the time and would expect it to have handle the clutch change a lot better than reduce it to 50K miles of life. In manual mode the car does take a while to engage gears.
