Radio Help !?!

Hiya,

The radio/casette in the yaris is broken! The FM doesn't work proporly, the sound is very distorted, but AM and the casette work fine.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a circuit diagram for the radio?

Does anyone have a standard radio for sale, perhaps you've fitted a new head unit?

And if I can't fix or replace the radio, where do I get a facia and connectors for a standard DIN size radio?

Try using the wanted forum on this site.......there are loads or Yaris's on this site and i am 100% certain you will get an offer of a stock on as most peeps uprate the stereo as a first priority.

Ive got a radio/casseste if u really want to buy one!

The link below has all the necessary info regarding part numbers and fitting etc. Fascia adaptor roughly £40 and single din converter, £20. Then obviously u'd need a cd headunit or whatever.

I 'binned' the standard hedunit days after getting the Yarii and am picking up the Fascia adaptor from Mr T on Tue, pics will be posted!

I wish it was that simple. The radio tunes and receives FM but the sound in very distored. Unplug the arial and the FM stations go away completely.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately someone's got into a bidding war already. It's at £42 with 5 day to go.
