Hi,

I'm thinking of buying an Auris, please could you tell me to what to look for when buying an Auris.

Looking at a 2008-09 1.33 vvti model with 25k-40k miles on the clock.

Please advise what things i should look for and what costs i could expect come my way soon, e.g. cambelt changes etc.

Regards

Tauran.

The Toyota 1.33 (1329cc) engine has a chain rather than cambelt.

Servicing - intermediate at 10,000 miles/12 months, full service every 20,000/24 months and probably the full+ service at 60,000 miles/6 years. Visit the Toyota website and look under 'owners' and 'car servicing - the Toyota fixed price servicing section provides more detail on what these services cover and how much they currently are. According to the service and warranty book, additional work: brake fluid every 2 years; manual gearbox/front differential oil change at 40,000 miles/4 years; spark plugs at 60,000 miles/6 years (included in full+ service).

Note that the Toyota five year new car warranty came in June/July 2010 - before this the new car warranty was 3 years/60,000 miles.
