Mine mist up and I know tomorrow morning they'll be misted after a clear night - '12 plate Aygo Ice. I don't think they are sealed units.

I was thinking to put 2 little holes in the backside, 1 at the left and 1 at right side of the rearlight so it could ventilated a little

What about the little sachet of moisture absorbing crystals you get in a box of sneakers; maybe a couple of those in each light housing would work. Put them out of sight of course.

The lights are sealed to the outside but vent to the interior of the car, misting is normal but it should clear during use, if the condensation is heavy you may have a leaky lamp seal or even water ingress into the car this is known to show as condensation in the rear lamp.
