On my '91 corolla the "parking brake" and "battery" lights started flashing together intermittently and after about 20 minutes stayed on. Does anyone have any idea what this means. Please help.

Usually when your Battery light comes on it means your alternator is not charging your Battery. As for you parking brake light, if this comes on while the parking brake in the down position, you should check your brake fluid level.

As for the " lights started flashing together intermittently " this is the first time i have heard ot this. I'll try to get more info on this.

Since I switched my instrument cluster to one from a German model, my brake warning light comes on whenever the charge light is on, albeit noticeably dimmer than when the parking brake is up (gets brighter when parking brake is up). My guess is that your alternator is shot and you need to get a new one or have yours rebuilt.
