Radio Aerial On Rav4

Sorry - second post, now topic...!

Just bought a brand new RAV4 XT3. The radio aerial snags my garage door by about 2 inches...

Does anyone know whether (a) I can get a shorter version, or (B) I could just cut off 2 inches of the thing...?

Some forum members on the old RAV4WORLD.COM had the same problem and all they did was cut the aerial as well.

Also since the demise of RAV4WORLD.COM another good site to check out is http://www.rav4oz.com

Hi there,

Have you tried Halfords? It's been commented in the Yaris forum that they sell shorter aerials that should just screw into the mounting for the standard one. It should work on the RAV as the actual aerial on my Yaris is identical to the one on my parent's X-reg RAV.
