Sat Nav Stereo Help

Our 2006 XT5 has a 9004 SAt nav head - with a 2010 DVD so we've got phone dialling when we're moving, and the other morning, there was a "pop" noise and it blanked out.

Its not the fuse and our local garage said they've checked it trhough and it seems to be the 9004 head

So, any ideas on what I can do - as it was working when they took it to the ramp and then blanked out 10 mins later

The second question is - can I fit a 9012 DAB head? its the same "space" but what other connections does that head need?

Hi Namead

Some of the electronics guys will answer about the 9004 but I believe they can have problems with dry joints. A half decent electronics guy would sort that out.

You can fit all the latest touch screen radio with sat nav and DAB radio but they are hellish expensive. You might be better with a branded unit from one of the hifi specialists like Sony or Pioneer.
