Here are some cars which range from 27 to 32 secs for the 0-1000 meters task. I would like acknowledge the Greek car magazine '4wheels', from which I took the data. These are test results, normally conducted with two 80-kilo persons in the car and 3/4 of gas in the tank. I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that some of these cars have a higher top speed than the Corolla, and normally they may have a higher 0-1000 exit speed, meaning that they are gradually catching up. Like the Volvo T-5 for example, which falls behind the Corolla in this acceleration task but exits at 190km/h. Unfortunately, the magazine hasn't posted all exit speeds.

There can be fluctuations of course in the performance of a car depending on many variables, and some magazines can get better numbers than others. Generally speaking, I think that this chart shows that the Corolla is quite fast, performing as well as 2.0turbo charged cars.

Thanks for reading!

Nice to see the corolla high in the chart! Anyone know what the Yaris TS gets? 0 - 1000m?

Hello people!

I checked with the magazine, they have posted a yaris T-sport test but the only piece of information regarding acceleration was a 9,6 0-100km/h. Unfortunately no 0-1000m. I don't think anyone would buy a Yaris to drag-race. I've read about the yaris in many greek magazines, and they all agree on one thing: It's a very special car for a special segment. It is a true sports car when it comes to steering and shifting, although as they put it 'it wont set the tarmac on fire'. In Greece the T-sport Yaris costs 16700euros, while the Peugeot Rallye costs 11150euros. We know which is faster, but of course there's a greek saying which goes ' you get what you pay for'.. And in this case it sounds understatement of the year! Isn't it time the !Removed! got paid for their safety (see EuroNcap, the Yaris is the safest small car), unbreakability (See TUV) and quality? (see for yourself)

I take it you have never had the sickening feeling of a T-5 starting up in the middle of nowhere and catching you up in seconds.

Wonder what a modified police T-5 0-1000m time is?
