K&n Filters.. Any Good?

Hey everyone..

until i get my new-born-blue-t-sport baby.. im buying "her" stuff :)

today i got the altezza/euro/lexus lights .. got it from a dealer here in israel for free :)

and today i got a suggestion about a k&n air filter for the yaris...

is it any good? there is one for the 1.5?? ive never heard of it..

will it change anything?

ahhh so may q's :hokus-pokus:

k&n currently only do a panel filter for the yaris although there are rumprs of a proper 57i in production

I have the normal drop in element in mine and i tell that there is a difference. Is there one for the 1.5?

indeed K&N does increased top end power,and slightly decreased

low end torque.

But the fact is that ,wet type air filter could infected our air flow sensor,

cause their oil will fly off and stick to the sensor,that could cause problem

for accurate air flow readings.

Tom's or TRD dry type filter still the way to go, if you're not looking for

huge HP gain from there.

i honestly dont think KN filter is any good in terms of performance gains. but you may never have to buy another filter again :)

thats true

a mate has one for his yaris. i think it has to be replaced every two years and costs about 12quid

KN is about 35quid and as long as you retain the reciept then you have the million mile warrenty and even if it falls to bits youll get a new un free of charge!

Yeah its not as if you can expect anoth 15bhp! but itll never need replacing (all being well and it gets looked after)

may give a bit of an increased induction noise aswell???

is it only the filter? or do i need a CAI?

am i using the normal filter box for that?

part no. is 33-22-11 if you want one but not much power gain for the money :bookworm:
