Problem With Induction Kit

Crazy long post............. :!Removed!:

I've decided to go for some samco hosing to fit up the pipes.

I've came up with these calculations:

Apexi Hole:

60 mm diameter

So Circumference is Pi * 60 = ~188.50 mm

Air box hole: (Not a perfect ellipse!!!)

/--------------------\

/ \

| hole |

\ /

\--------------------/

The Circumference is ~202.79 mm (Don't ask how to work it out)

So I'll need a hose with at least 202.79 mm Circumference.

I think I'm correct up to here :)

If you go to this website : http://www.samcosport.com/straight.asp it gives you all the possible bore sizes. Now, the bit I'm not sure about is if the bore includes the wall size or if the bore is actually the "empty width" inside the tube

Case 1: The bore includes the wall size:

If this is the case then to calculate the circumference(of the inner tube) you take the bore size and subtract 2*wall size and then multiply all that by Pi.

So the least bore size with a circumference > 202.79 is 76mm:

76 - (2*5) = 66 * Pi = 207.35mm

Case 2: The bore is just the diameter of the empty tube:

If this is the case then to calculate the circumference you take the bore and multiply by Pi

So the least bore size with a circumference > 202.79 is 65mm:

65 * Pi = 204.20mm

So the question is to go for 76mm hose or 65mm hose??? :help:

Sorry if this is too technical (I'm studying maths at Uni)

Isnt maths so much fun :D

Thanks for all your help guys !

so in other words, u just need to know whether the bore measurements listed are actually inclusive of the outer section (from one side of outside to the other side of the outside) or if its the measurements between (from inside of one side to the inside of the otherside)

am i right? (or am i just not following?)
