Gas Cloud From France Causes A Stink In Surrey

A gas cloud that smells like rotten eggs is wafting over parts of Surrey.

It is after a chemical leak at a factory in France.

The gas has moved over Kent and Sussex and Eagle listeners have reported it to be in part of Surrey as well.

The Health Protection Agency says it may cause people to feel nauseous, but it is not toxic and will cause no harm.

Despite that, we are being advised to keep windows and doors closed.

Surrey Police says it has so far received around 15 calls reporting the smell.

It is an unpleasant odour which may cause some people to feel slightly nauseous

A spoksperson for Surrey County Council, believed to be called Raistlin said "The people of Surrey have nothing to fear. It was only a little bit of wind I had whilst polishing off a Chicken Vindaloo, Prawn Biryani, Egg Mayo sandwich and a bottle of Advocaat after last Saturday's evening binge at the Clog and Ferrett. Normal service will be resumed by Friday and then the whole process will start again next Saturday"

The environment agency are believed to be looking up his pipes!
