Any T180/SR180 owners think that their electric power steering is far too light? I'm thinking of trying to modify it, as per instructions below..

Any thoughts? Like the prius, the Auris EPS outputs the same voltages when turning left and right as per the toyota tech website..

I don't have a problem with mine to be honest. After modifying the steering on an old Rover 820 it made a huge difference to steering feel/feedback. My Almera suffered from very light steering, but lowering it & fitting different tyres helped quite a lot. The Auris however, will stay as intended.

scrap it, further investigation on the toyota tech reveals that the power steering ECU is underneath the dash top, not the speedo cluster as I thought, I definitely cannot be bothered faffing around taking half the dash apart!
